EA has announced Medal of Honor, the original war-time video game series, is set to return, this time with a modern edge. Medal of Honor was massive back in the day, until some of the team disbanded and created Call of Duty. Can EA reclaim some of the glory their series created?
Due in Fall 2010, EA has said the new Medal of Honor (no sub-headings here) will be "the most authentic modern war experience", and will have the player taking the role of what looks to be a merc, deploying in modern-day Afghanistan.
Currently in development at EA Los Angeles and DICE, Medal of Honor will "give gamers a chance to step into the boots of these warriors and apply their unique skill sets to a new enemy in the most unforgiving and hostile battlefield conditions of present day Afghanistan."
Make sure to catch the VGAs on Spike TV or Gametrailers on December 12th for the debut trailer.
