Reality Pump To Pump Out Two Worlds II Come Years End

Two Worlds Two - Say that five times fast!

When Reality Pump and South Peak unleashed it’s third person, free roaming RPG Two Worlds upon us back in 2007, they became a victim of the masses. With the general populous wanting to give a game and its developer’s at Reality Pump, 50 lashes in central square for failing to entertain them at even the most rudimentary levels. Those same people then went back to playing Oblivion.

After a slew of bad press and a resounding “Computer says NO!” from many would be Antaloor explorers, it would seem that, like Stan from American Dad, Reality Pump don’t learn lessons.

In an announcement from Danish marketing firm Zuxxez (Don’t worry I can’t pronounce that either!) over the weekend, it has been confirmed that Reality Pump’s next volume in the series Two Worlds II is planed for an end of 2009 release on PC and Next Gen platforms (We take this to mean X360 and PS3). There are not many details released yet however in the same announcement Zuxxez did have this to say.

“Two Worlds II simply sets new technical benchmarks in the RPG genre, thanks not least to its seemingly unlimited number of dynamic light sources, micro-detail Parallax Mapping, 24 Bit HDR Post Processing, Space Ambient Occlusion and Human Eye Accommodation."

Gamerz Ink Translation:

Unlimited number of light sources - Lighting will look pretty, and there will be a character that follows you around with and endless supply of torches. F*^% darkness I have torches mother F&*$&#

Micro Detail Parallax Mapping - Stone walls and other textures will appear to have more depth, this will make the whole “Staring at a brick wall” feeling just a little bit more special.

24 Bit HDR Post Processing – Ok so even I am confused about this , I think it means that contrasting colours blend better and look more vibrant. Something tells me we are going to be spending a shit load of time in poorly lit areas.

Space Ambient Occlusion - shading effects will look ok…phew…what a relief, for a minute there I thought this was some new sci-fi tangent they were going to take, ok my heart rate is decreasing again.

And lastly...

Human eye Accomodation – Stuff that is closer…looks closer! No Comment.

All jokes aside, the screen shots look pretty cool, we definitely are not going to hold our breath for this one though. With the sheer volume of hit titles due for an end of 09 release we remain surprised at the timing of Two Worlds Two. This game will either hit the bargain bins before you can say deck the halls or just maybe it might come prepped with “Human wallet, cash to till technology!”
